Combating Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria Biopharmaceutical Accelerator is a global nonprofit partnership focused on supporting the development of new antibacterial products. It is the world's largest public-private partnership dedicated to accelerating antibacterial research to tackle the global rising threat of drug-resistant bacteria. With up to US$500 million to invest, CARB-X funds the best science around the world to accelerate the development of new antibiotics, vaccines, diagnostics and other life-saving products. The CARB-X portfolio is the world’s largest early development pipeline of new antibiotics, vaccines, rapid diagnostics and other products to prevent and treat life-threatening bacterial infections.

GLOBAL ACCELERATOR NETWORK
The global accelerator network (GAN) of CARB-X is a network of accelerators around the world to provide scientific, technical and business support to CARB-X-funded product developers.
C-CAMP has been selected by CARB-X for its prestigious Global Accelerator Network (GAN), a league of 10 world-class organizations to combat anti-microbial resistance (AMR). C-CAMP is the only accelerator in the CARB-X GAN outside of USA and Europe.
GAN provides scientific, technical and business support to CARB-X-funded product developers around the world. The Network is a one-of-a-kind source of know-how and expertise in antibacterial drug development, diagnostics, business strategy and other areas essential to driving innovation and accelerating CARB-X’s growing portfolio of early development research projects.

Scope

The fundamentals of IVD development – what they are, why they are important, & when you need to implement them.

Product development – concept, technical feasibility, and development stages

Infectious disease IVD development with an emphasis on diagnostics for bacteria and AMR
The Innovator School aims to train and equip academic innovators, entrepreneurs, early-stage companies, late-stage innovators and companies, with an improved understanding of the skills, principles, and systems required for effective vitro Diagnostics (IVD) product development. This training will help participants transition from academic & grant-based research to quality compliant product development. Participants will learn the FUNDAMENTALS for moving an IVD product from concept through development.
